Created 23rd September 2021 in the Yorkshire Dales in the north of England.
I love to showcase the colour pigments in natural foods and this paint tubes project meant I could literally capture pure, natural colours to use as a paint.
Colour scheme: Eat the rainbow 🌈
Made from fresh pineapple, passion fruit, cantaloupe melon, pomegranate, redcurrant, strawberry, plum and blackcurrant purées – sieved and simmered with starch to thicken without changing the colour too much. The shiny rainbow fruit ‘paints’ were poured into empty aluminium paint tubes, sealed and squeezed out. It took ages 😀
